Open Door Baptist Church!
A note from our pastor...
Hello, and welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church! I am so very encouraged that you have chosen to read about our church today. There are many things you could have been busy with, but God has lead you here, and that means there is a reason why! I truly hope you navigate freely through these pages, to understand who we are, what we believe, and just what God wanted you to read.
There is certainly much to consider when looking, visiting, or belonging to a local church; so I want you to know I have been faithfully praying for you, even though we've not met yet. I believe there is power in prayer, and that God is glorified when we allow Him to have the preeminence in all that we do! He alone is worthy of every ounce of our lives; laid out before His throne, ready to serve!
God's grace is a truly wonderful thing, isn't it? To think that He desires to give us a daily, on-time dose of all that we need, is truly remarkable. We're undeserving of all He bestows, yet He continues to supply... and it's prepared long before we even ask Him! But... that's the raw trueness or perhaps, the very realest part of God's love for us! See, do you realize that He knew we were bound for hell because of our inherited sin from Adam? God knew where our sins would eventually lead us, so He made provisions, and provided us the only sacrifice that could remove sin! God freely gave His only begotten Son, Jesus for you, all those years ago! He was fully thought of, fully prepared, and fully sacrificed... for you! His love for you is so boundless, so infinite, and so deeply unconditional. In retrospect, just as much as God prepared His only begotten Son for you; did you also know that in the most loving way; when Jesus Christ died, He was preparing you a home in Heaven, if you would ask Him to save you from hell? In 1 Timothy 2:3,4 God says: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." God's desire is 2 Peter 3:9; which states: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
As the pastor here at Open Door Baptist Church, I encourage you to take the time to ponder your future eternity. I cannot let you visit this webpage, and not tell you about Jesus Christ shedding His precious blood for the remissions of our sins! My purpose is to tell my flock only and exactly what God has told me to say. So, I will do the same for you. Very simply, yet strongly put... He wants you to know that He loves you! He sent His only begotten Son to die for all of your sins, and in that- has prepared a home in Heaven for you, if you ask Him for forgiveness of your sins, and ask Him to save you from hell when you die. It is truly a simple, and refreshing free gift that was completely paid-in-full, with no returns!
Friend, I truly hope you have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, as this is the most important decision to ever make. But in the meantime, I would love to extend a special invitation to have you visit with us here at Open Door Baptist Church! If you may have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. I would be honored to pray and help you as God leads. May you understand more now, just how much God truly loves you! I sincerely look forward to having you join us, and sure hope you can feel a breath of Heaven's air, and the glorious presence of our thrice Holy God as He moves freely upon our services. Our desire is to present more of Him, and none of us.
By the way, there are absolutely no coincidences. The Lord does everything for a specific reason, and He is always on time! God has evidently lead you to this website, and is already preparing your heart to hear from Him. The book of Esther, 4:14 it says "...and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Just maybe, perhaps the Lord has been preparing a seat for you here, at Open Door Baptist Church. My greatest advice to you for that is to listen, follow, and obey Him, as He is speaking to you.
